Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-23
This Cookie Policy explains how NPU Labs uses cookies and similar technologies on npu-labs.com, what they are, what categories we use, and how you can manage your preferences. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognize your browser and remember certain information. We also use the term "cookies" loosely to cover other similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixel tags.
2. Categories of cookies
The cookie categories commonly used on websites are:
- Strictly necessary: required for the site to function (e.g. security, network, basic navigation). These cannot be switched off in our systems and do not require consent under GDPR or POPIA.
- Functional: remember your preferences and choices to provide a more personal experience.
- Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it (aggregated, non-identifying).
- Advertising: used to deliver targeted advertising. We do not use these.
3. What we currently use
npu-labs.com currently uses only strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies. We do not run advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics that profile individual visitors. Our hosting provider (Vercel) and any email delivery service we use may set their own technical cookies as part of providing the service, limited to what is necessary.
4. Consent
Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent. If we add functional, analytics, or any non-essential technology in future, we will request your consent before placing those technologies on your device where consent is required by applicable law (GDPR, UK GDPR, POPIA, ePrivacy Directive). You will be able to accept all, reject all, or set preferences, and to change your choices at any time.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Each browser is different, but most allow you to view what cookies are set, delete them individually or in bulk, and prevent them being set in future. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the site to function incorrectly.
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no universal standard for responding to it. As we do not run cross-site tracking or behavioural advertising, our default behaviour respects the intent of that signal regardless of whether you send it.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent change.
